All Abilities Volunteer Application



Thank you for your interest in Volunteering with the Pickering Football Club’s All Abilities Program. We are excited, and grateful for your support and enthusiasm. Your role is simple - to help provide a great experience for our athletes - children and youth of our community with special needs - to simply have fun, get fit and make friends playing the wonderful game of soccer.

Everything you need to learn to get started for this amazing volunteer opportunity, will be provided at our training session. Volunteers must attend and sign-in at the Mandatory Volunteer Training Session. If you do not attend training, you will not be allowed on the field with our All Abilities Athletes!

Volunteer Expectations

  • Play one-to-one with athletes, guiding them through the sessions
  • Work closely with other volunteers and instructors to learn how to be a great mentor and friend.
  • Help set up and take down equipment and stations
  • Demonstrate and help athletes learn soccer skills, physical literacy skills, teamwork skills
  • Help athletes to make friends and have a great time!
  • Become a cherished friend to many athletes and their families
  • And SO much more!
  • Notify us if you will be absent
  • You must be onsite 15 minutes before the program starts
  • Minimum 80% attendance
  • You must complete the OADA online training before your first shift (https://www.accessforward.ca/front/customerService/)
  • Cell phones are kept off of the fields
  • Wear your volunteer T-Shirt
  • Get to know the athletes & parents!
  • Have Fun!
